Mayra Salgado

Case Manager

As Case Manager, Mayra Salgado creates programs and goals, and oversees therapists, programs and progress. She collaborates with other team members to ensure the client receives the most socially validated and high-quality services. She conducts parent consultations, equipping families with strategies and tools so they become empowered and able to independently implement programs. Mayra, who is certified as a Register Behavior Technician, has been at In STEPPS for seven years. Mayra earned a bachelor’s in social ecology, with a minor in criminology, law and society from University of California, Irvine. She has a master’s in human behavior and has done BCBA coursework at Florida Institute of Technology.

What are two items on your bucket list?

Travel to every continent in the world, and attend at least one major sporting event/championship for all my favorite sports

What’s your favorite place in the world?

Barcelona, Spain

What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?

Learning some Russian. I like learning new languages and I especially try to learn the basics when traveling to a particular country.

What’s your favorite sports team?

I love sports, and my absolute favorite team is the LA Lakers

How do you spend your weekends?

Volunteering, traveling and spending quality time with friends and family
